Botany for K-3: A Four-Class Series

Connect with a community of plants, your kids, and other adults as you learn basic botany through hands-on, multi-sensory, immersive activities among the plants of Duke Gardens. Sessions are designed for children in grades K-3 and an adult companion. Each session will focus on a different plant part: seeds, roots and shoots, leaves and flowers.

Dates: Tuesdays in September: September 3, September 10, September 17, September 24 (Rain date October 1)
Time: 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Fee: $64 for all four classes; 20% discount for Duke Gardens members with discount code
Location: Meets at the entrance to the Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden (D3 on the map).
Accessibility: This program is designed to take place outdoors in the Duke Gardens. Participants will travel on some uneven surfaces and on moderate inclines to reach different areas of the gardens.
