The Memorial Garden is a beautiful and serene garden where family and friends can celebrate the lives of loved ones who have chosen to have their remains rest at Duke Gardens forever.
Located on two acres in the Historic Gardens at Duke Gardens, the Memorial Garden has the feel of a peaceful private wooded retreat. Shaded benches invite visitors to find moments of respite and reflection. And winding paths lined with limestone bricks commemorate the lives and stories of people who have made their mark on the world and chosen to have their remains rest at Duke Gardens.
Participation in the Memorial Garden is accomplished through a contribution of $25,000 per individual to a Memorial Garden fund that supports the garden’s long-term growth.
Gifts entitle donors to have their ashes or the ashes of a loved one buried in the Memorial Garden and marked with an engraved limestone marker. Participants may also hold an intimate burial service at the Memorial Garden.
