Alternative Transportation Options

During Garden Gateway construction and beyond, we encourage visitors to consider alternative transportation options like busses, walking and biking.

From February 2025 to spring 2026, the main entrance to Duke Gardens, the gardens parking lots and the Doris Duke Center are closed for construction of the Garden Gateway project.  The grounds of Duke Gardens remain open, but public parking is only available to visitors on weekends nearby Duke University campus lots. There is no weekday parking. To visit on weekdays, we urge you to consider these alternative transportation options.

Alternative Ways of Getting Here

There are many ways to get to Duke Gardens, whether on foot, bike or via rideshare. The GPS address of the temporary entrance during Garden Gateway construction is 2000 Lewis St., Durham, N.C., 27705. GOOGLE MAPS.
