Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden

The Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden displays, demonstrates and teaches about plants that provide people, animals, birds and insects with food and shelter. Here, visitors can learn about organic vegetable and fruit gardening, understand water management through rain gardens, participate in hands-on classes, and see the Burpee Learning Center, which was made from two historic North Carolina tobacco barns.

Programs in the Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden include the Master Gardeners' Extension Gardener series "In the Garden," Nature Adventures Camp, and Organic Vegetable Gardening and other classes. Please check our events page to see our current offerings in the Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden.

Special note:

The produce from the Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden benefits local families through a partnership with Iglesia Presbiteriana Emanuel. Please do not pick any part of these plants. We ask that you leave them for others to enjoy and learn from, and for the benefit of our community partners.
