Interdisciplinary Outdoor Learning: Early Release K-12 Professional Development

What can you learn in a garden? Spend an afternoon on a guided exploration of Duke Gardens and experience the benefits of learning outdoors. Explore how components of every subject you teach can be taught in a variety of outdoor settings. Practice your observation skills, brainstorm ways to expand your teaching beyond the walls of the classroom, and learn about guided and self-guided field trips at Duke Gardens that align with your classroom standards.

Sign up for one or both dates to see how the garden changes throughout the seasons.
