Hydrangeas: Plants of Distinction

Beautiful plants that provide color, delight, fragrance, seasonality, and history – these are plants of distinction. Sign up separately for each session to learn about a new group of beautiful and useful plants, or take both seasonal sections.

In this class, you'll learn more about hydrangeas, a beautiful and dependable summer blooming group of shrubs. Instructor Jason Holmes will cover culture, pruning and how to make hydrangea blooms change color.

Instructor:  Jason Holmes, curator, Doris Duke Center Gardens, Duke Gardens.

Location: Doris Duke Center.

Fee per session: Gardens members, $7; general public, $10. Qualifies for Home Horticulture Certificate elective course (1.5 hours each).
