Durham Garden Forum: Honeybees and Native Bees
Bees are essential to our food supply and health, but they are profoundly threatened by environmental changes and disease. Matthew Yearout from the Durham County Beekeepers Association will discuss honeybees and native bees, helping us to understand their differences, functions and life patterns. He will discuss how we can assist bees in our gardens
An informal group independent of Duke Gardens, the forum meets once a month to enrich its members’ gardening knowledge and skill. Sponsored in partnership with the N.C. Cooperative Extension: Durham County Center.
Location: Meet in the Doris Duke Center.
Lecture fee: Forum members free with $25 annual membership. $10 per meeting for nonmembers, payable to Durham Garden Forum. Parking is free after 5 p.m.
