Led by horticulture staff of the Blomquist Garden of Native Plants
Join horticulture staff and volunteers on a walk around the Blomquist Garden of Native Plants to learn about connections between people, plants and place. Each month will feature a different seasonal topic related to gardening with native plants. In November we will consider how insects and animals spend the winter months amongst the plants here in the Piedmont.
Parking: Please note that no vehicular parking is available during this program. Alternate transportation is recommended, including GoDurham Route 6 bus, bicycle or rideshare.
Location: Meet at the gatehouse entrance to the Blomquist Garden of Native Plants (B2 on the map)
Accessibility: This will be a small group program that takes place outdoors, and participants will travel on a combination of paved and unpaved paths with some uneven surfaces and moderate inclines.
Please note: Construction for the transformative Garden Gateway Project is underway. The Doris Duke Center and main visitor parking lots are closed for the duration of construction.
