Pollinator Garden in a Box

Pollinator Garden Box

Help support native pollinators by planting a pollinator-friendly garden! Each box includes six nectar or host plants selected specially for North Carolina gardens by our horticulture staff, and propagated directly from Duke Gardens.

"The creation of our communities, of our neighborhoods, and of our homesites has been party to displacing plant communities and the wildlife that depend on them, and vice versa," says Stefan Bloodworth, curator of the Blomquist Garden of Native Plants. "The pollinator garden movement is, in part, an ethical response to the impact we all have on the land around us. Incorporating into our gardens a selection of native plant species that feed and shelter our native pollinating birds and insects is simply us as humans attempting to shift the balance in our surroundings back toward ecological sustainability."

Cost per box: $40.00 + tax (Gardens members get 10% off)

Pickup: Preordered boxes will be available for pickup at the Fall Plant Sale on September 24, beginning at 8 a.m. Any reserved boxes not picked up by 10 a.m. will be released to the public.
